Acupuncture View

 When I graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada, I decided that I wanted to be a Doctor, so I went to talk to one of my professors and mentor about it. Being brought up in Venezuela by a Medical Doctor father, I was convinced that I needed to study medicine.  However, after that conversation with my prof she opened my view about medicine and expanded my definitions of health, she told me about acupuncture and Chinese medicine. These I was somewhat familiar with from my martial arts training, she also told me about chiropractic and other natural health care modalities. It was great, that must have been one of the most exciting days of my life.

I was ready to conquer the world once again, so I went and found a program at the Michener Institute for Health Sciences, that provided me with a solid western and eastern medical curriculum so that I would become a well rounded Doctor.

It was set, my plan was to do two years of basic sciences and then transfer to med school after that. Well of course that did not happen. As I began my studies into the mysterious eastern sciences and traditions,the more I explored its vastness and depth, I became completely immerse and in love with Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine. It was so much more than I expected it to be that I realize that not only did I have to finish my program, but that a lifetime was not enough to fully comprehend it.

Since then I have travelled extensively to China, Japan, Europe, Venezuela, Brazil, researching and expanding my perceptions of health, wellness, and the art of living. This is how I became what I am today, an Acupuncturist.
